    This spring has been crazy. I got behind and now theres pollen and honey all over the brood nest. I'm now finding Q cups w eggs in nearly all hives. Frantically trying to locate Queens and split.

    Is it possible the queen is still there? I couldn't find her. I don't think this is a supercedure- most Q cells are on bottom of frames.

    Also fresh eggs in Q cups in another hive- would a cut-down...

    I've had good luck moving hives in one step. I usually just pile a bunch of branches in front of the entrance at their new location. You could also lock them in the hive for a few days in addition.

    I have russian hybrids- found a Q cell uncapped with a larvae in it yesterday. I pulled the frame and put it in a Q-less hive. These bees build a ton of Q cups but I rarely find one with an egg in it.
