    I would have your drawn combs near the front and maybe have one empty in between. if you throw drawn combs with a large gap they might get confused and do some creative building.

    For the Phacelia, i saw somewhere that you might need to soak them overnight before planting. Necessary? i'm only doing some small plots around the yard so maybe i'll experiment

    Definitely. I didn't get the swarm for my current hive until end of may last year. being prepared is good. having a few ideas when plan A goes out the window is good too ;)
