    How to keep mating nucs populated

    I have had a real problem keeping mating nucs populated. I have shaken nurse bees, always fed, put in a pheromone, brought the nuc inside for 3 days then out to the mating yard, much to no avail....

    Well I decided to harvest as many cells as I could easily retrieve, put 4 in an egg incubator and started 3 nucs with the rest. decided to even take the frame from the colony and left them with none....
