    State apiarist was at our last bee club meeting. She stated that oxalic acid was due to be approved and available this spring. Anyone have any additional info?

    Mix some honey b healthy in it and cool where cool. I stored a bucket of 1:1 all summer in my kitchen. Didnt spoil and no mold. Tasted and smelled great.

    I looked it up and wiki says its main use is as a surfactant but, if you keep reading it says it can be used as an emulsifier.

    Joseph that link doesn't give the whole list of ingredients as should be on a label. I think that's just a brochure.

    Dudelt. You make sense. If its already mixed with sugar in the product, mixing it with syrup only thins it down. Just aids it being mixed more quickly.

    It's usually mixed into sugar syrup which is very high in sugar.

    I saw an electron microscope photo showing the hair burned off the mouth parts of a mite. Sounds like the deck is stacked against varroa with this stuff

    I see the problem. Improper use of a gargoyle. It belongs in a high vantage point. Cant protect anything setting on the ground.
