I'm near Athens and I extracted last week. Prettiest Locust honey you ever saw. Supers are back on, Tulip Poplar is next.

    Re: Hogan trap out sequence

I started a trapout on a house 3 weeks ago. The owner just noticed them this Spring, but judging by the activity (pollen, orientation, lots of bees), it was fairly well established. I created a new...

Y'all are attributing a lot of motives to corporations that just exist to make money for their shareholders.

The picture of the produce section without bee pollinated plants shows just that. Obviously, the Western Hemisphere supported a pretty big population before honeybees. Although, reportedly, the...

    Re: 5 frame hives anyone?

My mentor has started using two 4 frame medium nucs, side by side, 3 boxes high, with a Queen excluder and 10 frame supers above. Essentially a two queen colony that fits into the footprint of 10...

Re: 18/9 hand crank extractor worth it?

    Re: Time frame??
