    honey or sugar water,the bees will store the sugar water just like honey,thats why there taking 2-3 gals a week.

    when the top box is 80% full add the super, if shes laying in the top box thats usually because theres no space below,stop feedingespecially if theres a flow on.

    Pam Welcome, Brood box on bottom,supers on top,quit moving boxes,let the bees be bees, have u checked for eggs or larvae to see if your queen is laying? Is it really hot there the bees will hang out...

    Looks Mighty good to me Pappy.My inner only has hole in front,dont want any wind blowin threw causing the chimney effect. You close your bottom off or leaving it open?

    NO . Meaning I would put the Sticky Board in all or most of the way,if u use a screened btm, so as not to leave full Length Screened Bottom wide open as IMO its to much VENTILATION in the winter.

    Personally I wouldn't leave a screened btm. fully open inyour area ,I know some people claim to.with great success,but i dont see alot of varroa falling threw in winter so whats the point.

    If you really want to know ,send some of the bees to the beltsville lab and have them tested,ask for test of insecticide.3 wks it a pretty quick change if your sure everything was o.k. then i'd say...

    I think installing packages and not feeding ,is a great way to have bees abscond. Lets just say its all but been proven, and the dandelions were in bloom.
