    Hi folks. Its been a while since I blogged on your site. Probably over 2 years since I moved up to Alaska. Im still keeping bees but a little more differently up here. Most dont overwinter their bees...

    too much is better than not enough!!!!! try to leave them plenty like nasal and see how much they use. Weigh the hives through out the winter to make sure you still have feed into the spring!

    I've done that but ended up painting the top and putting 1"x1" on 2 sides so the plywood doesnt warp like mine did the 1st time. Works fine! Good luck
