At least we agree on something.
  4. Re: Kelley news letter says: don't feed your bees GMO sugar!

The only clock I have is my cell phone (old technology flip phone) I haven't noticed any inaccuracy due to elevation unless you go swimming. So it is good enough for me.

    Well you know I can't,...
  5. Re: Kelley news letter says: don't feed your bees GMO sugar!

Yes Jim I should have included the previous words in the quote. I am trying not to over quote posts which Barry doesn't like. In this case I made a mistake not including those words. It wasn't...
  6. Re: Kelley news letter says: don't feed your bees GMO sugar!

Many people associate GMO's with a very toxic poison along with mono-culture. This is the primary reason for the objection. Have their been studies on the impact of mono-culture as to what is lost...

    Re: 2 Questions

So you feel there is no advantage of giving wax makers a job to keep them busy? I always felt that it was healthier for the hive because that is what they do.
  8. Re: Mouse gaurd after the mice are in on a stump.

With a pair of dykes cut the four wires in the center of four adjacent squares. Bend the short wires out not in so the mouse can get out and not in. It may require 9 adjacent squares instead of 4...

Re: A HUGE thanks to Barry!

Yes by all means, thanks Barry.

I think the easiest way to collect and correlate data on beesource is to suggest to Rader that he probably can't do it.:)
I would guess it would appear within the...

Oh my God Roy, I am not very good at saying things but you can be certain all of beesource will miss him and remember him even those who haven't joined yet. May he rest in peace.

    Re: 2 Questions

Michael what would you suggest for a back yard beek to employ the bees to draw comb for three hives when you have three hives full of drawn comb already?

It is not normal for a self storage facility to accept deliveries for customers but we do because my wife is so nice. Good luck trying it with U Haul. Not trying to be a spokesman but Brown wins...

She is not alone. The one percent that controls the world does not care about the 10% that gets negatively affected. They can continue to grow their wealth on the 90% that is not affected. No...

There's a statement... no intellectuals want to disagree?

I love it Mark, you make me laugh... that's a good thing. But seriously, neither group would be taking pills for cholesterol.

Re: Making Extreme Spilts with 2 Frame Nucs

You are comparing a ratio of 4.2 to 1 to a ratio of 20 to 1. Not the same in my book, not even close.

Are you opening the top? Did you say you were smelling honey? Could be a robbing frenzy. If they are going for your hummingbird feeder I would suspect there is not nectar and in warm weather prime...

Re: Kind of a funny story that ended well!

If they are drawing comb there has to be nectar coming in or you are feeding. If there is nectar and pollen coming in you have to make sure they don't run out of space especially in the spring.
  21. Re: Bees built comb from top deep into bottom deep

    Welcome to the forum Gail.
