It appears I may have swarm/ Supercedure cells (I read that swarm cells are usually on the bottom and supercedure cells in middle and emergency cells are all over)… the question now is...
I was quite intrigued by this... :) has anybody else used his methods (hiving bees)
So you dont remove any of the comb where the dead bees were?
I too had to scoop quite a few out... :cry:
scoots did you try it? Looks better than my method which was quite messy.

As much as I dsilike seeing anything happen to our bees... it is just amaizing to watch this insect at work, fearless and bold. ...I would think at this juncture I do not have any control issues.

I did shoot some video of this insect attacking my bees...
He comes around regularly but today was the 1st time I have seen him pluck bees in mid air.
...I will try for some stills and close up...
I had an a bad problem with ants too, I use the store brand petroleum jelly and it works great for me...
I have not seen any ants get past it... I usuaually put it on pretty thick, with the GA...
I have never seen them hang from the bottom...

In one of my (3) hives I had an extra deep placed on top, this is where I had my top feeder.
I removed the top feeder, kept the 2nd deep on and ordered some frames and foundation to place in the...
