I use a propane turkey fryer with a 5 gal pot. Fire it up, pour in about a half gallon of water and fill the pot w/ your comb.

"Mash" it with a 2X4 to break it up into small pieces. It's pretty...

    Re: cut out help

I routinely put cutouts on foundation with no problem. In fact, I hardly use the cutout comb anymore because SHB is so bad in feral colonies here in Fla., and few of them will maintain the comb. I...

    Re: Free Bees

If the outside pic is showing the entrance, it looks like the colony hasn't been established too long, which is good. And it looks like suncoast or America can take care of that removal since you...

    Re: Need some ideas.

Maybe no queen? Maybe 1/2 of my cutouts never 'get it together' and I have to combine them with other colonies. Clumps of them will hang around the outside of the hive box, under the SBB or on the...

    Re: bees in fire hydrant

This is in Tampa? If so, a trapout would be way too risky b/c of AHB potential. Risk management would shut that down if they hear about it. We do a lot of work for the city.
