    Re: Small Cell Foundation

Since it's already hived your options are more limited. They
will likely build comb down from the shallows first. Once that
    is done they'll move outward.

After they've settled in and are...

    Re: New to the Forum

Welcome!! And I second the referral to Michael's page. He's

Save your money, they are very unreliable. Traps work, tedious, but they

    Re: New from South Texas

If the move is less than a couple miles, place a leaved branch
over the entrance so the bees have to negotiate to get around
it. This will trigger them to go into "reorientation", over a couple...

Re: can I start with a 4 box nuc hive?

Welcome..... I agree with the others. Save the Nuc boxes, you'll need them
down the road. Build or buy a couple 10 frame deeps and put them on one
of them. 3# package is a lot for a 4 frame nuc....

Re: How do you "bait" your swarm traps?

I've had good success melting old brood comb at super low heat and
mixing in lemon grass oil when cooling and just getting real thick. I
paint it on the interior of older 5 frame Nuc boxes.........

    Re: Mole repellant?

    Battled moles for literally years.

Moles are carnivores and turn their noses up to grain, peanuts, etc.

I've tried poison fake earthworms, every repellent known to man, exhaust
    from a vehicle,...

Like anything new it will take some time to absorb. Good work Barry. One thing
I enjoyed (and it's probably here somewhere) was the CP? section where you
    could see subscribed threads.

    I appreciate the recommendation.

We're not in a major hurry, and funds won't allow for

If you hear of any leads there is a bounty:). Sugar

$20,000 is our budget. Far from town and neighbors
    is OK.

College Station was prefered only because I have a
beekeeper friend that would watch my bees for a
couple seasons a bit. I'd bring em'...

    Re: Transporting nucs

Carboard Nucs leak easily.... especially stacked
    and warm.

Duct tape all corners and the lid down. Duct
tape the plastic plug too as they can pop out.
