    look up pictures of wax moth larva,, as well as small hive beetle larva,, ,, in either case,, you need to take IMMEDIATE action.

    the purpose of refractometers is to determine the moisture content of the honey,, if you dont use one,, you can have honey that has too much water content,, this can lead to fermenetation

    2 frame is normally a tangential,, not good for wax foundation,, go for radial,,

    unbalance is a big issue,, you need to have to be able to stabilize,, legs...

    Take out any frames with larvae on them gently shake bees off,, but make sure you dont shake...

    if the bottom board is only 1/4 wider than the box - USE IT,, as long as the box fits on the bottom board and is stable,, NOT an issue!!

    clean it up as best you can without damaging comb,, then if you wish you can dip the entire box, frames and all in a water bath with Chlorox,, then let it dry out and re-use
