    Re: splits

Re: Bad Luck with Africanized bees ??

Changing the way we clean ourselves may not be easy, or simple as it sounds. It's a lifestyle change. Throw away all your soaps, shampoos, deodorant, etc. ???

    Some of the...

  8. Re: Why did this package die? (Sorry for Long Windedness)

The answer leith in the question?

Too many drones in a package will drink all the syrup.
Talk about getting the bottom of the barrel in bees! If the queens where separate then they where likey...

    Re: Unsure whether to feed

They might be storing the syrup in the 2nd brood chamber. Keep an eye out for their nectar sources (forage) around your place. By feeding them they may be counting on syrup rather that going to...
  10. Re: Why did this package die? (Sorry for Long Windedness)

The part that says, "Installed 2 weeks later"...... Did you get them at the Same time ? 55 degrees is not too bad. Get an umbrella set up to cover them while installing. This is why a Nuc is much...

    Re: My Hubam Clover

Dutch White Clover is what the bees love, and grows rampant in the lawns. The Red or Crimson clover is a commodity to Bumble Bees because they can reach the pollen/nectar much easier than the honey...
