    Swarm box activity

    Hey,
    Put a swarm box out couple months ago. Its a 10 frame deep box with 1 frame of old comb and a
    q tip laced with lemongrass oil up 10' in a pine tree.
    Last week saw a lone bee going in and out...

    I've got 5 gallons going in primary on the main floor dining room and don't even notice any smell
    unless i take the cover off.
    Could be that i've gotten used to the smells associated with home...

    Seriously, my apples were not getting pollinated so i got bees.

    Weak hive robbed and bees disappeared

    Looks like a lot of the remaining honey has been uncapped in the process.
    I suspect this has been going on for a few weeks or more with the neighboring
    hive robbing it when the temps were warm...

    I can't find anything in the regs saying i will be notified if some other apaiary in the area has foulbrood etc.

    Nope, haven't been inspected and don't know exactly who the other local beekeepers might be , if any.
    We have 1 inspector for about 800 beekeepers state wide.
