    Babybee has wise advice,try a few first. I know a beekeeper who soaks his pallets in roofing tar and gasoline with no problem to the bees.

    Keith are you referring to 50% water and 50% sugar by weight or some other blend?

    Prosweet is 27% fructose 21% dextrose and 50% sucrose.

    I'll be using dry sugar for sure before we leave. We actually have our bees down in Bakersfield so we will be feeding syrup and adding pollen sub to keep the queens laying.

    Areas where Almonds are raised tend to be mostly monoculture. This means when the bloom is over there is little for the honey bees to consume.
