I would'nt sweat it. Is there an egg or larvae in the cell? Mine sometimes make the cells and do nothing with them.
If the queen is failing the bees will know and take care of it.

Hi,
I have never used a queen excluder between the bottom board before. This is my first to abscond to and it made me wonder if it was the effect of the bee vac.
Anyway a neighbor called me to...
I just did my first vac job on a swarm about 18ft up in a tree in the downtown area. It went totally smooth. I had 20 ft of smooth bore hose and the hole to control suction full closed 1.75HP vac. ...
Scott, If you can't take them a couple of miles away for about a week, just move them. The field bees will work their way into other colonies.

Hi,
It is the California Buckeye that is the problem for bees. I have them all around me and they are only a problem during a dearth.
They do not affect other bees just the honeybee.
Kieran
Hi Stan,
I have them all around me as well. I believe they are only a problem in the dry years when there may be a shortage of other nectar/pollen sources. The one problem you can have is if...
I use the wired sc with 2 pins either side.
It gets hot here and so far no problem.

Hi Gerald,
I also like to use rubber bands as I avoid all the fumbling with sticky hands trying to tie in comb. The bees just chew on the rubberbands untill they are broken.
I like to spray...

Here is the reply I recieved from Matthew Westall:

Thanks Pete,
I have emailed him but was just wondering if anyone on here has built one and what model of vacuum di they use.
Kieran
Hi,
I built a bee vacuum from the plans on this site.
I am having trouble finding a vacuum to mount on the box. Most of the vacuum's I have seen have a large cowling on them.
Does anyone know...
Package bees are late because of the weather as well and getting queens bred is also a problem for the the suppliers.
It is just a pretty wet spring here in No. Cal
