    That honey bee is part of my apiary they winter over well and out in cooler temps.since i open mate there part of my apiary little more defensive but in time it will work itself out.

    yes you can take a cut comb with eggs and rubber band I use yarn or string too. place in center of cluster.check in 2 days and they should have started queen cells

    take a closer look when you open the lid I bet the some of the bees took to the air when you opened that hive. like they were caught with there tongue in the cookie jar take the bottom board off bet...

    hello splitting doesn't have to bee hard try and make the nuc again but put in the place of the hive that donated the brood. you don't have to move the nuc 5 miles away
