    Well, my day in the apiary is finding AFB in a hive on Saturday, couldn't inspect on Sunday, do went in today and found some in another hive. I am thinking I might have to burn all 13 in this apiary....

    At a recent Michael Palmer seminar in Geneva NY he advised to get those supers on early! Get some maple honey! We have been supering our hives early as part of swarm prevention for a few years now...

    I do recoat plasticell foundation even though it has been waxed already...(I am not saying that is why they didn't draw it out yet) The bees seem to draw this out quicker.

    I melt bee wax and brush it on over the foundation, it doesn't have to be perfectly brushed on either.

    Well update; the other hives that we did splits from, one a walk a way and the other a double Nuc, both of the mother hives swarmed too. Crazy year so far.

    It doesn't sound like she has a place to lay, and it's only been 10 days. Can you provide her with a frame of drawn comb?
    It also sounds said you have a flow on. Give her lots of room...
