If the bees have been in the wall long enough to build comb and start brood, you dont want to trap them out and leave the brood and honey in the walls. If that is the case I would say cutout is the...

This is why my wife thinks I'm Crazy
My wife witnessed, for the first time, me catching a swarm. Unfortunately, one of my hives swarmed today and when I arrives home from work to discover it, my wife went to the bee yard to watch. The...
Are you sure they don't have a queen. If not I would give them a frame of eggs and brood and let them raise a new queen.
Odfrank, that would be very funny if it werent so true.:)
Pulling a frame of brood and eggs is not necessary, but it will increase the odds that the new swarm will stay in the hive. Also if you accidently kill the queen it will give the hive a chance to...
Drones is the one thing you must wait for. Even if you have brood and eggs in numerous frames, you must have flying drones in order to mate with your new virgin queen.
I was thinking of planting Buckwheat this year in small plots for my bees. I am concerned about my cattle and sheep grazing these plots as I rotate my pastures. Is there anything to be concerned...
I believe that if he gets the premium honey he wants he should pay a premium price, not the standard going rate. I would ask for more for my special honey.
And also I do not treat my bees, but I did loose two colonies this winter. They were both caught swarms last year, and did not build up strong enough.

Add a frame of eggs and brood if you have one. If they need a queen they can make one if not the build up will help their survival
yours is very good. I have some made simular, and they work well.
Now that is a true observation hive.
Luke, you did real good. Now just take a deep breath and sit back and enjoy your third hive.
Yep I do

Check with your county extension agent to find out how many hive you must maintain on your property in order to qualify. If you do you will have to file farm tax showing profit and loss to the IRS....
I checked mine yesterday bout 4:30 and they were not flying. I watched as they would venture out onto the landing board and would turn around and go back in. The wind was blowing very hard at that...
Adam, do not discount catching swarms in the city, how often have you seen bees in the middle of the city pollinating the flowers and shrubs in the parks and in the flower gardens of businesses....
This is one of those questions that if you ask ten beeks you get elevin opinions. So my advise is look to the old guys that have years of experience, such as Michael Bush, and read their opinions.
That really stinks, I hope you get more results than I did when my atv was stolen from my yard.
