Update: Albert acknowledged that he was paid, received the returned material, and then refused to either refund my money or replace the equipment. The man is an absolute crook

Old timer, I guess you speak a different kind of english down there. That was exactly my point. I wasn't blaming the breeder, who I think was very good, because it wasn't his fault. Maybe you...

    Re: Nuc prices for 2016

I'm always happy to help the beekeeping industry!! In my defense, it was in usable equipment, not just cardboard!

It is my first top bar hive. I believe they went into winter strong and healthy. I...

I paid Sam Comfort $250 for an overwintered top bar nuc, in a 2' travel box. It had about 8-9 frames of natural comb.

    Bulk Honey

My 21 yr old son is interested in brewing a large batch of Mead. I'm looking for 50 lbs of honey, in the NYC area. I'd rather he not use Dutch Gold, and support fellow beekeepers

    First time overwintering Nuc

I am taking a stab at overwintering a Nuc. I have a 5 over 5 setup, with a top entrance notched in the top board (i've plugged the hole of the bottom entrance). Is this sufficient, or do they need...

    Warre swarm in Sept?

I opened my Warre yesterday to check for honey, and found some swarm cells at the bottom of some combs. They currently have 3 fully drawn boxes and 1 empty. wouldn't it be odd to swarm now?
