Transferred 2 week old swarm from bait hive 2 Alpine hive this afternoon. Good brood pattern, plenty of stores. New box is 4 foundationless frames and 4 frames w/ alum. screen pulled through wax....

I save/ transfer all brood comb, if 2 small t 2 attach can b left in hive bottom 2 hatch out, save honeycomb 2 feed back. I don't transfer honeycomb so they won't have 2 defend it, like colony 2...

I used double sided tape with good results last season, not sticky enough 2 trap B's but ants can't pass,

might try a quick mist of syrup w/ drop of LGO when you open, use new spray bottle, (not a cleaned out Windex bottle ;)
