    Re: Paint Sprayer

I bought a wagner power painter plus and have painted 75 boxes this week. Love it. Really fast, sprays a thick coat and not to bad to clean. Overspray is a problem, but thinking ahead laying down...

Poll: Re: Do you Build or Buy your Hive Bodies?

I build my own. I wait until Menard's puts their lumber on sale and buy a few loads. I think I paid under $12 for 1x12x12's on a recent trip which will make 2 deep boxes and 2 feeder rims. At $6 a...

    Re: Insurance for Queen shipping

Ditto here. Damaged, delayed or lost. As far as keeping queens alive they won't insure that or else people would be shipping dead queens back and forth to each other just to claim the insurance.

    Re: Migratory lids

Are you making your bottoms with two rails down the side and a piece to fill in the back or are you stapling a rim all the way around the advantech?

Yep Advantech from Lowes. I can't find it at Home Depot either. It looks like ordinary OSB but it's not.

    Re: Migratory lids

Paint seems to be sticking good. Others on beesource have talked about using it for 5 to 10 years unpainted and holding up great. I soaked a piece in a jar of water for a few weeks and didn't have...

    Re: Migratory lids

I starting using some stuff last year from Lowe's called Advantech. It was recommended by several here on beesource. Its only been on the hive 8 months but so far no warping and no cleats. I just cut...

    Paint Sprayer

Any advice on an economical but good paint sprayer? I paint a few hundred boxes a year.

    Thanks,
  17. Oxalic acid dribble minimum temps.

What is the minimum treatment temperature for oxalic acid dribble. I have read above freezing but want to see what others have had success/failures with.

    Thanks,
