    I conducted a similar study last year. The main difference was instead of beer it was single barrel bourbon. It also focused on stings alone, not weight. My conclusion was they didnt hurt as bad, but...

    In the haste of trying to get another bag of syrup on my unfriendliest hive right at dark last night with very little protection, my guess is at 2-3 lbs per sting, I should weigh 40-60 pounds more...

    The whole story sucks, shame people cant just act like adults when things change in their lives. At least he didnt smash the hives. I say get em out asap and write off the honey as a lesson learned....

    I don't have a scientific answer but obviously a heavier concentration would be easier to cure. I believe that why people feed 1-1 in the spring for comb building and 2-1, or 5-3 for winter weight. G

    Ive been using bag feeders and they have been taking it, its just starting to stay cold, I think Im near weight, so I guess I will get ready to add dry and close down shop. Thanks. G
