I have a hive that i thought was going to swarm because of the location of some queen cells on bottom of frames. The cells were broken open during an inspection and i thought i was just prolonging...
laying worker in another thread i just read that in a normal hive 6% of all eggs are from laying worker eggs and most of them get eaten I was amazed
if the bees swarmed once and came back because the queen was not with them once the new queen emerges they may swarm again and if the brood nest is back filled with honey the new queen wont have...
are they cups or cells?? they do build cups just in case they need to use them I am finding them on my frames in my hives. One of my hives have turned the cups into cells and have superseeded...
area 51 those are queen cups not queen cells a cell would have royal jelly a larva and would look more like a peanut.I would add a few pics of the cells my new queens emerged from but i am not able...
sounds like orientation flights to me as well. It looks like quite the hussel and bussel bees all about the front of the hive.
