    Some smokers use one hole in the bellows to blow air out into the smoke pot,, and then suck air back into the bellows,, the Dadant smoker has TWO holes and allows one hole to blow into the smoke...

    contact some bee clubs in the area of your land, and find out what they do to protect their hives,, I am not confident that a simple electric fence will do the job,, but they will know better
