    thanks for all the replies! I will look into the harvest plates, tho I cannot see how the bee survives. I still think I will collect my dead bees and make a poultice.:D

    harvesting pollen

    IM taking pollen from one hive, using a bottom trap,i was getting so much, the first 2 days, i opened the top of trap, to allow the bees to pass thru. still getting 1/3 pound on sunny day.. are...

    Got tour of monsanto, jerry hayes came to visit and speak with us beekeepers.interesting,might be good thing for bees. Time will tell,and hope for the best. Jerry is great guy, hope he likes missouri

    Welcome, ken. i agree, a good beesuit, with hat and veil, will do wonders for your confidence. by the way, i grew up in brinnon. you live close to there?

    thanks! hoping for a quality spring, planted clover, got some free trees from arbor foundation, now every foundation want to 'give' us stuff..LOL. havent gotten any junk from this site,tho. cool!
