    Sarasota flordia bloom listing

Anybody know of a bloom listing for this area? Commercially as in enough of a bloom to sustain hundreds of hives in a area. Preferably from the months October to May. Thanks.

    Re: Managing swarm season commercially

We run 5500. Check bottoms of brood boxes regularly. Super to give more room
Or pull brood over and over and over, by that time it's end of honey flow.

  9. Re: 8 Frame Hives for Pollination vs 10 frame

8 frame seems to build up faster, however you lose 2 frames of potential brood. My advice stick with the same size type. Interchangeable boxes is key. It sucks having 8 frame that needs another box...

  11. Re: How many foundress mites can a cell support?

I pulled some drone come apart two days ago from a hive that hasn't been treated yet this year. Counted 9 mites in a single capped drone cell. Still a strong hive. For now.

    Re: Mean bees

Use smoke. Stop squishing bees when you manipulate frames. They don't like that.
