Re: Local Bee Club Loss Survey

    Nice Job Odfrank,

As I suspected, it does tend to match my perception of mortality rate in the Santa Clara valley as well. And that is based on 10+ yrs of hive keeping. And while I won't dispute...

    Re: Reaction to Bee Stings

My reaction is that it starts swelling after 20hrs and continues to increase for 5 days. It then slowly retracts over the next 5 days.

Therefore, I try not to get stung :)

  9. Re: Bees are Back in the fence!... should I tell him Told Ya SO????

Assuming that you are actually successful, they will have no queen. So merge them with one of your hives and add additional honey boxes. Use the newspaper method for the merge.

    BeeGhost,

Please insure that your eyes are covered as well. The Oxalic vapor is looking for moisture. It will turn into acid
if it comes into contact with your eyeball. Not pleasant.
