No stings for me or my wife who helped get it back together. All 5 supers were capped and ready to go. The bees didn't seem to care much that they had fallen over or that we were robbing all their...
I caught a swarm on the 25th of June last year and got a super of honey from them. They had the first deep drawn and filled with brood and honey in a week...so it may be possible.
I just measured a piece of comb from a cut out and it is also 5.08.
Caught a 2-3lb swarm tonight. 67 deg and partly sunny. Came from the same oak tree that I caught a swarm from last Tuesday. Easy one to catch. Three feet off the ground and on the end of the branch...
Caught a 4-5lb swarm tonight. 65 deg and mostly cloudy. Most likely came from the oak tree 10 feet from the swarm. The owner said they have been in the tree for 3 years. Brighton, Wi 53168
Stung once from the 12 packages I've installed.
Late posting this, but saw/had?/caught my first swarm on the 25th of June...25-30 feet up and basketball size...hopefully I can eventually post video of it. Covered half the lens on my phone when...

Yep, a jeweler...and yep, the cabin next to the Gau's.
All five looking good....Hopefully I can get all 5 through in my first winter.

Jesse,
Where are you at on the island...my wife's family has had property up there for probably 60 years...spend quite a bit of time up there in the summer.

I am a newer member...started going this past summer. So I will be at the March meeting seeing as the blizzard canceled the last one.

Hi David,
I'm basically down the road from you. Good to have you here.

His methods seemed pretty interesting to me...I'm looking to try it this spring.
Love the Lake Wobegon reference from someone from the UK.:)
Got my UB jacket for Christmas...have only worn it once and it wasn't hot out at all, but I could tell that it's going to be much better than my other suits when it gets hot. Can't wait for spring!
Personally, I think it would be great if Don and others with lots of experience would continue/start doing these podcasts...very interesting. I've been listening to them all for the last three days....
They are still on there...I have 5 of them in my cart now.
Mike, sounds like you have your head on straight... Avoid partnerships along with the debt. Good luck!

Sounds terrifying! The hip and the water were probably the biggest problem.
Seems fine.
Got my first sting yesterday on the tip of my pinky...it's amazing how fast it happens and that for a couple seconds it doesn't hurt at all...then the venom kicks in. No really swelling, but my...
