    From looking at the tree it split open when it fell, see comb laying on ground and some attached to other parts of tree but the bees are staying with the one section. They where also coming and going...

    Yes, that may work this evening already broke into about 8ft to 10ft section. Have not done this before will a netting over the log be sufficient.
