Why are my bees not using the bottom box?
Why would my bees not use my bottom box? They completely bypass the first box. Litterally NO BEES in the lower box. Just from looking at the second box you'd think the hive was ready for a third box....

They weren't honey bound. I had rotated box one and two before the swarming. I had contemplated rotating box 2 and 3 instead, but didn't as there was still room.

I've got the same qestion. So mine came out of winter really strong. Lovin' it. Two and a half weeks ago - swarm. Darn! So I collected them all up and put in a new box. A week and a half later...
