    Also Eric, Not just varroa but tracheal mites are killed by oxalic acid. So it's gotta be more than grooming.

    Here's an interesting site and ongoing live study that involves weight and a lot of other factors of hives all over the country. The hives may have honey though, depending on the season, etc.
