    Lt. Green/Olive, and brownish yellow colored pollen (Maple?)
    Only the crocuses are currently in bloom.
    Maple just coming into red bud stage.
    Haven't seen anything else in bloom.

    The snow was 26" on average, but luckily the 3 hives were protected by nearby trees and the wind kept the snow away.
    Checked on the girls this afternoon, all were out and about from the top...

    I always put mine on the day before, I have found if put on too early they figure out how to go back through.

    I left the attendants w/ the queen, they all were out of the cage (queen laying) w/ in 2 day's.

    1st year, 8 quarts from 2 hives, more than I was expecting.
    Deeps for both hives weigh in last weekend @ 60lbs per section so I guess they have enough honey for the winter.

    2 hives came through w/o problems.

    No power since 8AM Sunday - they are saying that it may be as late as Saturday before power is resumed.
    Living off of Kerosene Lanterns and Coleman Camping...

    I ended up using ratchet straps in both dirrections, w/ 1 set of straps under the 4X4's. Put a large cinder block on top of each hive. No problems w/ the storm +50mph winds. Broke 2 trees 12-24"...
