    been a while since i have posted anything on this forum, I was just wondering how you other beeks handle your winter deadout cleanups? Whats your personal method? No diseases, just winter death.

    Last fall I went into winter with 4 strong hives. They all went deadout during winter, numbers droppred bigtime in November for some unknown reason.

    At 150$ you are robbing yourself. The equipment alone costs that much. 55$ for assembled 1 deep hive, 25$ for another assembled deep, 18.50$ for an assembled medium. NOW buy frames 20 deep 10 medium...

    In one of my hives the queen lays in both deeps and 1 medium super, shes a powerhouse when it comes to egg laying. If you want to keep her in the bottom use a queen excluder.:thumbsup:
