Although currently sold out with an unknown next available date….
I like that, and will be borrowing it for my own use.
As far as the sugar goes, buying it in 5 pound bags is going to add up! BJ's in Newington has 25lb sacs for ~$11.50 and Walmart in Epping...
Sent my contribution last week
Kelley's had russian packages last spring, have you checked with them yet?
My personal favorites of newer books were:
Kim Flotum's books (Backyard Beekeeper and Better Bee Keeping) for the photos and guidance.
Beekeeping for Dummies for a nuts and bolts "how to" book...
Would the box of foundation fix both of these issues then?
Looks like the feral "German" black bees I have near one of my yards in southern Strafford County. I quit trying to mate queens at that yard because the hives were almost always...
About $11 per 25lb sack here (~0.44c per lb)

Extra credit question: If it gets to hot it will break down...
So scratch all the cappings... Anything I can do to increase my chances of moving the honey and not causing swarm prep to start?
If I were to place frames with capped and un-capped honey under a queen excluder would the bees move it up into the supers, or would I just be limiting the laying space and creating a swarming...
Excellent, thank you.
It would be about 10 hives at any one location at one time. I could charge the battery again before the next location.
For those using it with a stand alone battery (not in the car battery) what are you using. Went to Batteries Plus today, they recommended a huge deep cycle ~70Ah battery and a fancy deep cycle...
Why not ask at Dadant in Chico, they may be willing to help the school out:
15 Valley Ct # C, Chico, CA 95973
Ship on Saturdays. If you ordered with Russian queens they are behind schedule and should be shipping this next week.
As the bees start drawing out foundation the queen will start laying in the partially drawn frames before the bees will start filling in the nectar. The bees will finish drawing out around the eggs...
