    As in don't make a shelter for the winter???
    I met with a commercial beekeeper close to me this afternoon and he recommended covering them up for the winter then getting them in the spring.

    Heading over tonight to cut the broken piece off the top end and another smaller piece towards the bottom. Going to get measurements so I know how big to build.

    What types of foam or insulation can be used. I'm new as well and not sure if certain types would cause problems.

    I stood there for about 15 minutes watching them. Tried getting a few pics of some loaded with the pollen but those came out blurry. It just started blooming here so I should have more chances.

    Gotcha - - I have plenty of entrance reducers. I'll attach a piece of 1/4" hardware cloth to the small openings and use that.
