Go to dixiebeesupply.com or ebay.com
Yes it is safe to harvest, better do it before it is robbed out by other bees if there are any!!
If you continue to cut out queen cells you will eventually end up with a queenless hive!!
By all means reverse the hive bodies. Queens will sometimes move down by why take the chance. Reversing the hive bodies greatly reduces the urge to swarm and for some reason bees have a tendancy to...
In my bood boxes I start with 10 then reduce to 9 using frams spacers. In the honey supers I start with 9 and reduce to 8 which makes uncapping much easier!
They would probably just start moving up and not draw out the remainder of frames in the bottom!
I would go ahead and take the second box off to cut it down. It will be several weeks probable before they need that second deep!
I use straw also!!
I think I would move the deep to the top as its in bees nature to move up!!
Did I read something about Kelly was going to offer narrow frames??
Start with 10 and once they are drawn out reduce to 9.
Great to have you! Have a few relatives in Lebanon!!
Are you sure those were wax moth larva? I have never seen them this time of year! You usually see them in the fall in a hive that is very weak!!
I would go with the 18 and hopefully it is electric for that size!!
I have reversed hive bodies for years to prevent swarming. Yes it is correct that the queen seldom goes down and will always go up if room is available. So keep moving the bottom suppers to the top...
I have about 5 hives that none of the foundation has never been changed and they are at least 15 years old. Have never been requeened either!!

Straw works for me!
I use 2 deeps as it will cut down on swarms and usually the queen uses both for brood. There are exceptions and occasionally the second deep will be filled with honey.
I start with nine then reduce to eight, makes extracting much easier. I also use frame spacers.
I don't see how you could have a virgin queen this early. If you do I doubt there are any drones around for her to mate with. I am in the South West part of Va and I could be wrong but the earliest...
For bulk Borage go to seed savers exchange
The new deep needs to go on top otherwise they probably will just ignore it or even worse just chew up the foundation!!
