Re: Just received my new Maxant 3100p

Someone in an earlier thread recommended putting castors on the legs. I just did it and all I can say is thank you to that person. No more wobbles!

Re: "normal" bee death from top feeder?

I feed once in a blue moon and use that feeder when I do. There are never more than a few dead bees who, for all I know, died of old age. I wonder if your alteration added excess weight to the float...

    It's easier than you think.
I love my Maxant extractor not just because it's the best quality; it is American made, and if I have a problem or a question I don't have to contact Amazon or some...

Re: Our bees are all dead please help

In my locale, I use Apivar for 6 weeks after the honey flow and the supers are off. Around Thanksgiving I vaporize Oxalic Acid and I do it again around Groundhogs Day. This year we are 41 of 41 but I...

Re: Our bees are all dead please help

    Ok.
Next year when you get nucs, it would be good to check for mite levels when you get them, deal with them if the levels are above an acceptable threshold. It is very important in the late summer...

    Re: Solar extractor?

I just haven't seen a measureable difference in honey harvest between having a good strong hive draw out new wax vs giving a hive drawn comb. Last year I got 4 supers of honey and the bees had to...
