It works fine without a spacer. Considering the method used to disperse the gel when used in bulk on the sheet, I have never considered using a spacer. Results have been good.

You need to move your "Inner Cover" above the hive top feeder. The feeder should rest on your super, the inner cover on the top of the feeder. That should clear up the problem on...
