Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think live PTO means that it runs even when the clutch isn't engaged, and the regular PTO runs only when the clutch is engaged.

We have one Buckfast hive and its quiet as a kitten. We've had more problems with the Starline hive, they can get pretty excitable at times.
