    Re: VSH Breeding?

    Hi Joe,

We *do* select for VSH behavior. We use two specific tests, and we use gross selection: we choose our breeders from breeding candidates that perform well without any mite treatments.

I was wondering when you'd post about this! :D

We now perform two tests in our breeding program that select for VSH in addition to other economic traits. We use a large population and have an...

    Re: Cordovan, Italians and Pol-lines

We can custom make AI breeders that will produce mostly Cordovan colored workers, but we charge more for 'em because the cross requires more intensive drone selection (color).
    I wrote you about...

    Re: Pumps and feeding

    Johny,
Thanks for describing this. How did you make the drain? Was there already a fitting installed on the tank to attach the hose to?
How do you fill the tank? How does it ride in your truck?...

We ship UPS overnight. If we're shipping to an area where the temperatures are extreme, we ship to the customer's nearest UPS Center "Will Call" or "Hold For Pickup". The queens arrive at the center...

    Hi Lauri,
I'm surprised you did not have good luck with Tightbond II. We use it on all the queens we number and it is pretty effective.
Maybe try again? One thing I always do before gluing is to...

    Re: VSH kicking

    Hi Mike!
2 years without treatment and still thriving is certainly worthy of some test queens, indeed.

    Hi WLC,

Re: What Does Mite Tolerant Really Mean?
