Re: Idea for Varroa Mite messurements

You can't use weight unless somehow you can keep the bees from collecting nectar and pollen, raising brood and dying etc. the weight of a hive fluctuates almost constantly by much more than the...

    Re: Nansulate--Bee Protector

It's an insulating paint. 42 dollars a quart recommend 5 coats so pretty expensive! I don't think temperature is a big issue for bees compared to all of the other challenges.

Re: "African" Bees are so terrible?

So you are e putting bWes you think might be Africanized on school grounds? That doesn't seem prudent especially since you have now said so on the Internet.

If I were a betting man I would bet you have some EFB going on there. I would have an experienced beekeeper take a look if possible

    Re: Queen laying question

Before I did that I would wait a week and see what things look like. I have seen multiple eggs in cells and not had a laying worker. I would not panic yet. You don't get a laying worker in a...

Where did you put the inner cover? When I use an escape the telescoping cover is put directly on the top super and the escape between the super and the rest of the hive, leave everything else off
