    When a virgin queen goes for her mating flight, does she have a large accompanyment of bees that come out of the hive? Kinda like a swarm.

    Hive configuring

    I have a strong hive with a deep and med brood chamber. I am changing my brood chambers to double deeps. Is it ok to put an empty deep between the deep and med brood chamber or is this a bad idea???
