    We found that the hot knife works best went running 9 frames in a 10 frame super. This allows the bees to buid out beyond the edges of the frames so the knife can easily slice off the protrution.

    I use stock 1x4 and by the time you add the rabbet for the bottom it is very close to 3 inches. I also use these in winter by flipping them over and using as a shim over candy.

    This is basicly the BeeMax Styroform feeder. The change from the BeeMax is changes to wood construction and screen guard instead of plastic shield.

    Hey those just like the ones I have been building for past couple of years. I make them in 5 frame (nuc) and 10 frame sizes. I use titebond III and then coat with beeswax.
