    yes! back then i was still a new beekeeper
    that was a new nucleus and i was feeding it sugar syrup .... the problem was the holes in the can were too big and thus it was dripping on the bees ......

    Wire Grid for Propolis Collection

    on top of the hive i am planning to place some wire grid (looking like the pic below) hoping that the bees will deposit propolis there

    is this due to heat?

    today here in south europe had a temperature of 30C , so it was pretty warm and i noticed bees standing just outside the entrance

    do you know if bees forage on fennel flowers? Lot of them in my area but never see any bees on them!

    so this can happen in any hive or it indicates that the distance between top and bottom frame is large and thus have enough space to build comb - if i decrease the distance would they stop doing this?

    grafting of eggs?

    next week i will try the grafting method for the first time. I was reading that should graft larvae that are 4 days old (3 days egg + 1 day larva). If I graft eggs, would it work? anyone tried this?
