You want have any problems using a brushy mountain cover with mann body's . I have both and no problem . I run all 8 frame I like the mann lake size gives more room when work the bees brushy body's...
I would have to disagree that the bucket vac does not win. I would rather have a vac that will put the bees in the hive body there going to live in .

U can use small cell comb to get small body bees.
I know a Commercial guy that use corrugated peices but uses soming else in them I want say what because its probley not legal . But it's his only he controls it and it works .
You got a lot of frames that don't need to be there . There not going to build comb this time of the year .
They do I have acorns they draw them out great

I voted hive tool . It's pretty much the only tool that ya really need . Kind of hard to get in hive with out it .

My boxes are made from the Dimensions of a mann lake box . It's the pattern I use .
Ya I know but I made a jig to run my rotozip around so its still pretty fast .
Inner covers and telescoping tops building about 200 right now . Nice to have the upper Escape I feel there a little nicer in summer if needed ya can prop the top on a end to help cooling .

I never took time to make them and install them but I guess I have a base line for next year when I install them the freeman beetle trap has really keep them knocked out . Just a pain to keep clean...
If you have screened bottoms have them blocked off and place at least 20 feet away from each other for at least 3 weeks . Then there's little to no chance of drift .
