    Well worth going after them. If you decide to peel the asbestos shingles off 1st wet em down real good and best thing is to use a water sprayer or a hose if available and keep em wet the whole time....

    You have it figured out perfectly. If you want an oil tray also under the screen, knock the back 3/4 off and tack the screen on that replacement 3/4 strip 1st and then install the sides.
