Re: Captured a swarm! Will it survive?

On another site someone did mention that. I actually think that is the more likely culprit of the situation now. When inspecting the dead bees I did notice 3 live ones rolling around and it looked...

Re: Captured a swarm! Will it survive?

Ok a little update on my hive. I have brood hatching and population is climbing. I posted in another thread asking how to correct deformed comb. The bees were building a second bit of comb at a 90...
  7. Re: NewBee here learning identifications - need help. (My pics added)

Ok cool thank you for the confirmation. I think I am starting to get the hang of this. Now to see if I can get these buggers to survive winter.
  8. NewBee here learning identifications - need help. (My pics added)

Ok I was looking around the interwebs and think I was identifying part of some newly formed comb. I think I have it correct now and wanted to confirm. Take a look at this pic:

Re: How to correct mis shaped comb

Thank you everyone. I think I will attempt to beds the comb into place and then put an open frame in between the two.

To answer the question before the spline is probably just about 1/2" wide....
