once your hive gets going you can open a little drone brood. the mights like it best. the mites will look like tan spots on the larve
looks like capped worker brood to me. if the queen just layed more eggs they can be hard to see because of thier small size. give it 3 or 4 days and check for larve. if you see the uncapped larve...
i started using pierco prewaxed frames last year. i gave them a quick spray of sugar syrup and the bees drew them out with no problems. in my opinion the extra wax isn't needed.
