    Re: Hives With Neighborly Complaint

Not in this state. We have the right to farm as long as it's over 5 acres and involves ag, which bees are under the regulations.

    Re: Threshold for mite treatment

    Hi Mark,

Should have explained more... I only have to treat 2X a year now. I check and treat in April or early May and then in August. I don't examine my hives once the supers go on unless I see...

    Re: Threshold for mite treatment

Some do if there are no virus issues, but even a small number can kill a hive if you also have virus. I treat at 5 mites/300 bees

Re: Review of the Lyson Manual Steam Uncapper

Thanks very much. Still haven't decided but was going to drive over to see the uncapper, this saves me a trip. Looks good to me.

Not yet. Will post, probably in about 2-3 weeks when I start my fall treatments.
  18. Re: Am I the only one who doesn't have capped honey in July?

Average year so far for me... hives seem to have slowed down in the last week. Not hopeful for the fall with this drought.

    Re: Heilyser JB700 OA Blower

Well, I sold my Ford and bought a Nissan, but what do I know? So far [1 year] I'm pretty happy with it. Since I do most of my work from a trailer, I don't need a big honker. See you in about a month
